The Pittsburgh Panthers received good news with the added transfer of Canadian International point guard, Shay Colley.

Coach Suzie McConnell-Serio announced her team would have a new member with the addition of Shay Colley. Colley is already enrolled in classes at Pitt, however, she must sit out until, the fall of 2016 semester due to NCAA guidelines. Colley is transferring from #2 South Carolina, where she was averaging 12.9 minutes in her 11 games played there.

Colley will be a big help for Pitt as she is a point guard who brings experience and not just here, but at the international level as well; she has played on the Canadian National Team for four years. In the 2014 FIBA U18 Americas Championship, Colley was able to lead her Canadian team to a second place finish where she averaged 12.8 points, 3 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

Pitt will have to wait for this top recruit from the class of 2015 to join them, but in the meantime, Colley will be able to practice with the team and learn the plays. Not only learn the plays, but also be able to see where and how she can help the team once she becomes eligible next year.
