C. Vivian Stringer to miss Rutgers game

Rutgers will be without their Hall of Fame coach C. Vivian Stringer tonight against Nebraska.

Rutgers Hall of Fame coach C. Vivian Stringer will miss tonight's game, as she will tend to the health of her ill mother.

"Unfortunately at this time my family and I must surround my mother with love and support during this difficult stretch," said Stringer. "I have full faith in Coach Eatman, the staff and the Scarlet Knights to carry on in my absence and I will rejoin the team as soon as I am able. I want to thank everyone who has already reached out with kind words and prayers as they have meant so much to me and my family at this time."

The Scarlet Knights will play tonight against Nebraska.
