Washington starter Brianna Ruiz (ACL) out for season

Another player has fallen prey to a torn ACL, as Washington redshirt sophomore Brianna Ruiz will out for the rest of this season. The injury occurred when the Huskies played Arizona this past Sunday.

This is a tough blow for Washington as they have gotten off to a really good start this year, 12-4. And in the gauntlet that is the Pac-12, one has to wonder how much losing such a talented sharpshooter, who has the ability to stretch the defense, will affect this team going forward.

The Huskies play No. 17 UCLA on Friday.
