NY Liberty- Indiana Fever early observations

New York City- First, a stat of the day. Through three playoff games:

Tamika Catchings, Indiana 23.3 ppg, 29 efficiency pg.

Tina Charles, NY 22 ppg, 18.9 efficiency pg.

Not to say Catchings is better than Charles. The comparison is strictly to display how the 'marquee' players of both teams have risen to the post season challenge.

Early notes...

good for the liberty to have Carolyn Swords back in action.

Also a positive for New York, Kiah Stokes is not jusr defending. She's actively looking for offensive opportunities inside and converting.

Early on the Fever look like the team playing on one night rest.

Sugar Rodgers has continued her hot shooting. The Liberty guard knocked down a pair of first quarter treys as New York led by eight after the first quarter.

Shenise Johnson has gotten access to the lane and finished several penetrations. The Fever guard has been Stephanie White's most consistent threat early on.

No surprise, Catchings is getting in the groove and should have a good second half.

Great to see so many Knicks, past and present, cheering the Liberty on.

Interesting to see the adjustments both teams make at the halftime break.

At intermission.....48-42 Liberty.
