Maryland's Bryce McKey resigns amid sexual abuse allegations

Maryland assistant coach Bryce McKey has resigned from his position, the school announced today. He's been accused of sexual abuse of players while at Xavier.

Yesterday, former Xavier and current Maryland assistant coach, Bryce McKey, was accused of sexual abuse of two players while during his tenure with the Musketeers.

After the news broke, his current employer, Maryland, immediately suspended him indefinitely. And just now, the Terrapins has released a statement that McKey has resigned from his position.

Here's the statement:

Bryce McKey has resigned from his position as an assistant coach at the University of Maryland. It is best that Bryce tend to his personal matters and step away from coaching at this time.

McKey was to be arraigned in Ohio, but the case got pushed back to September 8 where he will make his first court appearance.
