Swish Appeal: What are you feelings on being named to the 2015 WNBA All-Star team?
Nneka Ogwumike: "I’m very grateful, it's nothing that you should take lightly, but I am more excited for Jantel (Lavender) she definitely deserves it she has done an amazing job this year, and I am very proud of her."
SA: What is your favorite part about being an All-Star?
NO: "Being able to play with the people you usually play against you know, it is always fun to go out there and get a different experience with such heralded players, and it's an honor. It gives you time to kind of reflect on the work that you have put in, and understand that you are here for a reason and just enjoy the moment."
SA: Whom would you say is one of your toughest All-Star opponents?
NO: "Ellene Delle Donne is tough, and Tina Charles is tough, Tamika (Catchings) is tough too."
SA: You have been an All-Star since you entered the WNBA, how have you been able to accomplish that feat?
NO: "It has never really been a specific goal of mine but I just go out there, and I play hard. My teammates help, I can’t do it by myself so just going out and playing as hard as I can and trying to get a team win."
SA: Are you going to be able to spend some time with your sister?
NO: "Oh yeah! (With a huge smile) Chiney is already planning stuff."
SA: Any final score predictions for the All-Star game?
NO: "I am horrible at that stuff I have never been the type of person that could even guess the amount of jelly beans in a jar, but the West will win."
