Skylar Diggins will miss tonight's game against the Seattle Storm because of a knee injury, the Tulsa Shock announced earlier today. Diggins suffered the injury in the waning minutes of her last game against the Storm, a game that saw her score a season-high 31 points.
Here is a portion of the release from the Shock:
Tulsa Shock guard Skylar Diggins will miss tonight’s game in Seattle due to a knee sprain she suffered in Sunday night’s game versus the Storm at the BOK Center.
Diggins, the 2014 WNBA Most Improved Player of the Year award recipient, left the game with 44 seconds remaining on the clock and did not return.
She did not travel with the team to Seattle and will not be on the Shock’s current four-game road trip so that she can be evaluated by doctors. Her status is expected to be updated toward the end of next week.
Diggins has been playing well this season in her third year, averaging 17.8 points and 5 assists per game.
