Here is a portion of the release:
South Carolina head women's basketball coach Dawn Staley announced that Allisha Gray (Sandersville, Ga./Washington County) has signed a financial aid agreement to attend the University and play for the Gamecocks. Gray, who earned First-Team All-ACC honors last season at North Carolina, will have two years of eligibility beginning in 2016-17.
"We are excited that Allisha has decided to continue her collegiate career as part of the Gamecock women's basketball family," Staley said. "Her hard work and intensity on both ends of the floor will be a great addition to our team as we continue to compete for championships."
This has been a great offseason for Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks, as they also got Georgia Tech transfer Kaela Davis. Gray, a 6-foot guard, averaged 15.2 points per game last season for the Tar Heels.
