Lexie Brown coming out of high school, envisioned something very important to her: playing in the ACC. Well now the 5-foot-9 point guard gets her wish, going back to her preferred conference of choice, as Brown has decided to transfer to Duke, according to multiple sources.

When Brown announced her intentions to leave Maryland, it left many aghast, including many around the Terrapins program. Once the shock of her decision dissipated, many starting linking Brown to a lot of schools: South Carolina, her hometown school of Georgia and some even thought Tennessee was a viable option.

But from our sources, those schools were never in play, as Brown had her sights on playing in the ACC.

During her two years at Maryland, Brown led the Terrapins to back-to-back Final Four Appearances. On top of that she garnered a plethora of awards, especially in 2015: Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player, All-Big Ten First Team, All-Big Ten Defensive Team and AP Third Team All-American (2015).

Brown was Maryland's second-leading scorer at 13.2 points. She also visited Louisville on June 8.
