Lexie Brown asks for release from Maryland

Maryland guard Lexie Brown has asked for her release from Maryland, according to multiple sources. She was the catalyst for the Terrapins' Final Four run this year.

2015 was a special year for Brown, as she was named Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player; All-Big Ten First Team (2015); All-Big Ten Defensive Team (2015) and AP Third Team All-American (2015). She was the team's second-leading scorer at 13.2 points.

Brown is also the daughter of former NBA player, Dee Brown.
