There's no place like home: FSU's Shakena Richardson commits to Seton Hall

Florida State redshirt junior, Shakena Richardson, will transfer to Seton Hall, per sources. Richardson is a graduate transfer and will be immediately eligible.

For the second year in a row, Seton Hall gains a graduate transfer commitment from a local product. Florida State redshirt junior, Shakena Richardson, has graduated and will play her senior year at Seton Hall, per sources.

Richardson, a 5-foot-4 guard, starred at Neptune high school in New Jersey. Coming out of high school, the explosive guard was one of the most sought out players in the country. She was rated No. 18 by ESPN and spent her first two years at Rutgers, before transferring to Florida State.

Richardson, like Daisha Simmons, will use her last year of eligibility back in her home state of New Jersey. This is a very good pickup for Pirates' head coach Tony Bozzella, who was named Big East Coach of the Year this past season.
