About nearly a month and a half after Utah decided to not retain Anthony Levrets, the Utes are down to their final three candidates, per sources.
One of those three, is someone we discussed earlier, and that's Pacific's Lynne Roberts. She just finished up her ninth season and was Big West Coach of the Year in 2013.
Another finalist -- and a name that makes a lot of sense -- is Westminister College's Shelly Jarrard. She was an assistant at Utah for 11 seasons, under the stewardship of Elaine Elliott -- who by the way is currently an assistant under Jarrard.
And while Westminister is an NAIA school, Jarrard has had a boatload of success with the Griffins. She's compiled an overall record 102-18 (.850), with four straight appearances in the NAIA Championships
The other final candidate, a source says is, "someone from the east coast." Look for Utah to introduce their next head coach in the coming days.
