Southeast Missouri State has scheduled a press conference for tomorrow, to introduce and announce, their next head coach. The Redhawks are set to announce Ball State associate head coach Rekha Patterson as the new leader for the women's basketball program, per sources.
Patterson spent the past two seasons at Ball State, and prior to that, was an assistant at Baylor. In her first season at Ball State, the Cardinals made an appearance in the MAC championship game, as well as a trip the WNIT. This season, Ball State made a second consecutive appearance in the WNIT.
Before she was at Ball State, Patterson, really made a name for herself at Baylor. She helped the Bears obtain a 74-2 record, and a National Championship during her tenure on Kim Mulkey's bench.
Alabama's Shereka Wright was a finalist for this job. The press conference to introduce Patterson will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. CST.
