In first-round action yesterday of the NCAA Women's Tournament, UConn dominated St. Francis-Brooklyn 89-33. But one aftereffect and possibly something to monitor, maybe, is the health of Kalenna Mosqueda-Lewis going forward.
Yesterday she only had two points, and in a report by Carl Adamec of SNY UConn, he speaks on Lewis' injury:
Senior Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis had her streak of double-figure scoring NCAA tournament games snapped at 17. She hurt her right Achilles tendon in the first half and though she did return played only 16 minutes. She had two points.
While the injury doesn't seem to be severe, as Lewis was able to return, it's something that could be lingering throughout the tournament.
