The Courtneys are coming! The Courtneys are coming!

Jeff Blake-USA TODAY Sports

Who? The Aggies of Texas A&M.

When do they play in the first round? TAMU plays Arkansas-Little Rock on Saturday, March 21 at 4 p.m. ET.

What? Named for the Agricultural portion of Agricultural and Mechanical. Reveille is the highest-ranking member of the famed Corps of Cadets.

Where? College Station, Texas, which no longer actually has a station.

When? March 21st, in Tempe, Arizona.

Why? All the metrics are strong.

How? They were an at-large selection.

Surprise? Predicted to finish third in the conference, they tied for fourth with Kentucky and LSU, five games behind South Carolina.

RPI: 36

SOS: 47

Record: 23-9 (12-6 SEC)

Good wins: Duke.

Bad losses: Missouri.

Who's running this show? Gary Blair, since 2003.

Extra, Extra! The Dallas Morning News, maybe? Looks like The Eagle is a better bet. But the best bet of all is our buddies over at Good Bull Hunting, who can tell you all about the bouncyball.

The Courtneys are back again, this time as juniors. Williams and Walker put up the scoring numbers, at 14.5 and 14.4 points per game. The Aggies have already shown how much they miss point guard Jordan Jones (9.0 points, 6.6 assists), lost for the season due to injury. I'm hoping to see players like senior forward Achiri Ade step up in her absence.

Random observation that amuses me: gosh, Texas A&M does not shoot threes. The Aggies have only 208 attempts on the season- and 78 of those were by Jones, further minimizing that possibility.
