Connecticut star Breanna Stewart injured her ankle in practice earlier this week and did not play in yesterday's rout of LSU. The injury doesn't seem to be serious and head coach Geno Auriemma expects the 6-foot-4 Stewart to be back by their next game against Maryland.

Here's some of the report from USA Today:

Stewart sprained right her right ankle when she came down on a teammate's foot in practice last week and as a precaution did not dress for the game. She was wearing dress flats on the bench.

"We've got another week," UConn coach Geno Auriemma said. "So I would expect that she'll be back to normal."
