Oregon State has suffered a devastating blow as start point guard, Sydney Wiese, has injured her right hand, according to reports. Here's a part of the report from the Oregonian:
Oregon State star point guard Sydney Wiese is out indefinitely with a right hand injury, Beavers coach Scott Rueck said following their 80-43 victory over Cal Poly Monday afternoon.
Wiese, who sustained the injury in the first half of Saturday's loss against No. 14 Tennessee and still finished that contest, was wearing a cast Monday. Katie McWilliams, a former South Salem star and five-star recruit, started at point guard in Wiese's place and finished with nine assists to go along with five rebounds, two points and five turnovers.
Wiese has been not only the Beavers' catalyst, but also their best player this season. She's averaging 12.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and a little over 5 assists a game.
