Ohio State suspends (conduct detrimental to team) assistant, 2 players

Ohio State has suspended two players and an assistant coach, per reports.

Ohio State has suspended their assistant coach Mark Mitchell, along with two players one game, for what's been termed as "conduct detrimental to the team." The two players are Shayla Cooper and Chelsea Mitchell, who is the daughter of Mark Mitchell.

The Ohio State women's basketball team suspended assistant coach Mark Mitchell along with players Shayla Cooper and Chelsea Mitchell for one game for "conduct detrimental to the team."

None will be on the bench for the Sunday 2 p.m. game against North Carolina A&T in Value City Arena.

The incident occurred on the OSU bench during the second half of the game at Cincinnati on Sunday.

He's also the father of Buckeyes superstar point guard Kelsey Mitchell.
