The No. 20 DePaul Blue Demons just got some great news right before Thanksgiving. Illinois transfers, Jacqui Grant and Amarah Coleman, have been granted immediate eligibility per the university.

Initially, both players were denied eligibility to play this year, but that ruling has been overturned after DePaul filed an appeal with the NCAA. Here is the release:

DePaul junior Jacqui Grant and sophomore Amarah Coleman will be eligible to play immediately it was announced today by DePaul head coach Doug Bruno.

Grant and Coleman, who transferred from Illinois prior to the start of the 2015-16 season, were granted immediate eligibility by the NCAA based upon the appeal DePaul submitted on their behalf.

Both will be eligible for DePaul’s game against Colgate on Friday at 7 p.m. at McGrath-Phillips Arena.

Grant and Coleman are part of the exodus that left the Fighting Illini after a tumultuous off-season in Champagne.
