The SEC announced Friday that Alabama guard Breanna Hayden and Auburn guard Hasina Muhammad were suspended one game each for fighting during a Thursday game between the two arch rivals. In addition, both schools levied an additional one-game suspension on the players, so both Hayden and Muhammad will be sitting out two games for the incident. You can watch the whole fight above per the SportsWatcher YouTube channel.
The fight happened late in the first half when both Hayden and Muhammad were tangled while positioning to get a rebound from a free throw. Hayden threw a punch which hit Muhammad's face, and a melee ensued. Both players as well as Alabama's Meoshonti Knight were ejected after officials sorted things through, according to Brandon Marcello of AL.com.
The game overshadowed a 51-50 Crimson Tide win, where Alabama held off a furious Auburn comeback during the second half.
