Sources: Rachel Banham has decided to redshirt, will forgo the WNBA draft

Rachel Banham, the star guard at Minnesota and Big Ten Preseason Player the Year, will be holding press conference at 12:30 CST to announce her intentions to redshirt and  pass on the 2015 WNBA Draft, sources tell Swish Appeal.

This is huge news for  the Gophers as it was speculated that Banham would leave after tearing her ACL against North Dakota.

Before tearing her ACL, Banham was averaging 20 points, 5 assists, 4.7 rebounds. She was also named to the Naismith Trophy top-50 watch list. Banham is only 107 points shy of breaking the schools all-time scoring record held by Lindsay Whalen.
