There is noticeable absence from Seton Hall's lineup and that is team-leading rebounder, Bra'Shey Ali. Ali has been dismissed from the team because of multiple violations of team rules according to head coach Tony Bozzella:
"Bra'Shey Ali was dismissed from the team January 5th for multiple violations of team rules. These multiple violations occurred over a period of time. She is still on scholarship and has one semester left as an undergrad - and we look forward to her graduating."
This is not the first time that Ali has been dismissed from a program. In 2012, she was dismissed for multiple violations while at Kentucky. Here's an excerpt from Kentucky.com:
Ali, a 6-foot-2 forward who saw little playing time last season, was dismissed from the team, UK spokeswoman Susan Lax said Friday.
The Plainfield, N.J., native played in 11 games as a freshman, averaging two points, 2.1 rebounds and 7.5 minutes of play.
Ali sat out several games for various violations of team rules. Throughout last season, Coach Matthew Mitchell said Ali had things off the court she needed to work on if she wanted to get on the court.
One instance included her being late to get back from the holiday break. Then once she got back to campus, she showed up late to her punishment the next morning.
Ali, a redshirt junior, started 15 games for the Pirates while averaging 9.5 points and 9.3 rebounds.
