I don't really know where to start. So I'll just get right to it.
Listen to 3:48 to 3:51 for the DISRESPECT that ESPN's First Take host Stephen A. Smith had for the
"Washington Wizards, Mike Ti-balt, or whatever his name is"
in a "debate" about San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon, who is still playing for the San Antonio Stars this season.
While the points in the video and on Hammon were valid, the bullshit that came out of Stephen A.'s mouth for TWO SECONDS spoiled it all for me, and it should for every WNBA fan.
All on the first day back from his suspension for another matter regarding Ray Rice.
So, I get that Mike Thibault's name isn't the easiest to pronounce. It's pronounced "Tee-bow" by the way, pronounced EXACTLY like this topic this show been talking about for like, the last I don't know how many years?
That piece I linked happened to be written by Mike Wise of the Washington Post, who Smith mentioned earlier that day on the show on a segment regarding the Washington Redskins NFL team and the ongoing name controversy. You can listen to that on the show's podcast. But I digress.
But not knowing the name of the Washington WNBA franchise? Wow, that was some DISRESPECT right there! Make sure you at LEAST get the name of the god damn team right if NOTHING ELSE!
Expect this video snippet to be played as Bulletin Board Material for the rest of the Washington Mystics' season.
Future opponents, beware.
