Fever vs. Sky Game 1 halftime score: Guards Briann January, Shavonte Zellous carry Indiana to 42-33 lead

Guards Briann January and Shavonte Zellous combined to score 22 points in the first half as the Indiana Fever took a lead into halftime in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Aside from the scoring from their backcourt - January leads all scorers with 14 - the Fever's defense of the Chicago Sky was outstanding: they held Epiphanny Prince without a point in the first half and they've harassed Elena Delle Done into contested looks although she finished the half with 8 points. As a team, the Fever capitalized on eight Sky turnovers for 13 points off turnovers in the first half.

Sylvia Fowles leads the Sky nine points and seven rebounds, but also has three turnovers and three fouls.

On the injury front, the Sky got Jessica Breland back after she suffered a shoulder injury in Game 1 of their series with the Atlanta Dream, but starting point guard Courtney Vandersloot left today's game in the second quarter with left knee issues.
