Everyone except Phoenix and Minny play today. Here they are:
1. Indiana Fever (13-17) at New York Liberty (13-16), 3 p.m. ET
This game is on MSG in the NYC area, NBA TV nationally. The Fever was in solid position for the second place spot not long ago, but now have to fight to get back into contention.
2. Washington Mystics (15-15) at Connecticut Sun (11-20), 4 p.m. ET
Game is only on LiveAccess. The Seattle Storm's broadcasters recently complained about Shoni Schimmel fans taking over the Key. Since the Mystics are looking like the UConn pro team now, a road team takeover could happen too, because the Mystics are really close to clinching a playoff berth, and the Sun is close to elimination.
3. Los Angeles Sparks (14-16) at San Antonio (13-18), 4:30 p.m. ET
TWC SportsNet has this on in the L.A. area. The stars have lost four in a row, and hope to end that streak against a Sparks team that has gradually got its act together.
4. Atlanta Dream (17-13) at Chicago Sky (13-17), 6 p.m. ET
This game is on the U Too in the Chicago area, NBA TV nationally. This is the Game of the Day in my opinion given that there are playoff implications. The Dream is trying to keep its hold on the top seed in the East, but the team is slumping toward the end of the regular season like it did last year. The Sky is just trying to get a playoff seed, where they would be favored against any team they play except perhaps this team.
5. Tulsa Shock (12-19) at Seattle Storm (11-20), 9 p.m. ET
KONG has this in the Seattle area, NBA TV has it nationally. This is the classic battle between young vs. old. Beat 'em down Shockers!
That's all I have. Enjoy the games.
