The 4th of July weekend is almost over, but there are two games, both on ESPN 2. Here they are:
1. Minnesota Lynx (13-5) at New York Liberty (6-11), 2 p.m. ET
The Lynx want to extend their current two game winning streak to keep the pressure on the Mercury, who play later in the day. The Liberty is the only Eastern Conference team on a winning streak at the moment, and should be super motivated to win this one.
With the Washington Mystics going 3-10 in their last 13 games and on the WNBA's current longest losing streak at three, the Liberty, now has a chance to surpass them in the standings. Sure, the Lynx won't be an easy to team to beat by any means, but the Libs have won three out of their last four games, which include a win against the conference leading Dream.
2. Phoenix Mercury (12-3) at Los Angeles Sparks (7-9), 4 p.m. ET
The Mercury looks to extend its winning streak to seven games, while the Sparks try to continue digging out of an early season slump. It almost sounds like deja vu from the Lynx-Libs game.
That's all I have. Enjoy the games everyone!
