WNBA Friday Open Thread: Three games starting at 7 p.m. ET

Talk about them here.

TGIF! Here are the games on the docket for the evening.

1. Tulsa Shock (8-16) at Washington Mystics (11-13), 7 p.m. ET

Nationally, this is on NBA TV. In the DC Area, turn on Comcast SportsNet, or online through Monumental Network.

Kia Vaughn made an appearance on this video here btw.

Very early in this season, the Washington Mystics were in position to perhaps be first place in the East if some things fell their way, but it ultimately didn't happen. If they win tonight, the Mystics would be half a game ahead of the Indiana Fever for second in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Considering how close the second through sixth place teams in the East are, this isn't exactly saying much. Yes, the Mystics could be second place in the East after this regular season if they can get on a hot streak to close out the regular season. But at the same time, a cold streak can easily throw them back to sixth as well.

As for the Shock, the season's over, at least when it comes to the postseason. But with another lottery pick, that will give this team an additional building block toward finally making it click. Since teams like the Sparks and Storm are clearly not going to be that great for much longer, this team will rise a LOT, really soon.

2. Chicago Sky (9-14) at Atlanta Dream (15-7), 7:30 p.m. ET

In the Chicago area, this is on The U Too. The Sky looks to try to build some late momentum, while the Dream looks to get towards clinching a playoff spot.

3. San Antonio Stars (12-12) at Minnesota Lynx (18-6), 8 p.m. ET

This game is on Fox Sports Southwest in the San Antonio area. In the Twin Cities, tune to Fox Sports North. After yet another last second game winner for San Antonio, this team gets rewarded with a road game against the Defending Champs. who have won five straight, and have Rebekkah Brunson back.... welp.

Enjoy your Fridays everyone.
