Here are the games on the docket for tonight.
1. Indiana Fever (7-9) at Washington Mystics (7-10), 7 p.m. ET
Watch this on Comcast SportsNet Mid Atlantic in the D.C. area, or NBA TV nationally. If you want to watch online in the D.C. area, it's only on Monumental Network. And you also can look at the "Mystics Live" App which is on the Apple and Android App Stores.
Both of these teams are getting close to the unique position where they need to seriously consider which direction they want to go for the rest of the season. First, they can try to go for a playoff spot where they are unlikely to get past the first round. Or they can tank and try to put themselves in position to have a better chance to get the #1 pick in the 2015 WNBA Draft.
Given how even the Eastern Conference appears to be after the Atlanta Dream, you may not believe that I'm advocating this, but I say that they should still try to win more games for the time being. But if there are five or six games left and one of these teams are in fifth place with little hope of sneaking into the playoffs, then it's probably better to start tanking. Just don't do what Phoenix apparently did.
2. Chicago Sky (8-8) at Phoenix Mercury (11-3), 10 p.m. ET
Watch this on The U Too in the Chicago area.
Jamierra Faulkner had an excellent performance last night against the L.A. Sparks. Let's see if she can continue to play at a high level tonight as they play a Phoenix team that has been playing at a high level all season.
That's all I have. Enjoy the games everyone.
