WNBA stars play role on ABC's "The Bachelorette"

On Monday, five WNBA stars were featured on the ABC reality show, "The Bachelorette."

WNBA stars Nneka Ogwumike (Los Angeles Sparks), Lindsey Harding (Los Angeles Sparks), Swin Cash (Atlanta Dream)*, Elena Delle Donne (Chicago Sky), and Tamika Catchings (Indiana Fever) were featured on ABC reality show "The Bachelorette" on Monday, June 2. Monday's entire show was based in Connecticut. The basketball segments were taped at the Mohegan Sun Casino.

You can start seeing the basketball segments, WNBA stars along with Andi Dorfman, the Bachelorette at the 20 through the 34 minute marks of the video. After a light warmup which featured the male contestants shooting hoops, the WNBA players came in and played a scrimmage against the contestants. As you might have expected, the WNBA stars beat the male contestants handily.

After the scrimmage, Nneka Ogwumike said that the game was a "little warm up." Lindsey Harding was more blunt. She said, "I really hope [the male contestants] have more game off the court than they do on the court, because [Andi will] have a real difficult choice.

After the WNBA vs. male contestants scrimmage, the male contestants broke up into two teams where they played for a chance to be with Andi at an after party.

I embedded one of the highlights after the scrimmage, where Brian, one of the contestants, makes a half court shot, but froze up when he had the chance to kiss Andi. If you can't see the embed, click here.

Even if you are not a fan of reality game shows, it's still a good thing to see the WNBA shown in a positive light, like the way they were featured on this show.

*It should be noted that Cash was wearing a Sky uniform, so the show was filmed sometime before she was traded in early May. At least from this site, taping for the current season of the show would have started at around March or so.
