According to reports, the New York Liberty has waived Toni Young, a 6'1" forward from Oklahoma State.

Young was the seventh pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft and was considered to be a high risk, high reward move for the team. However, she played sparingly during her two seasons in the WNBA. This season, Young appeared in eight games, where she averaged 1.1 points and less than a rebound in less than five minutes per game.
Perhaps Bill Laimbeer is about to sign someone else, but given that the 12th roster spot on a WNBA team is an option rather than a requirement, he doesn't have to. If he does sign someone, hopefully the new player is someone who can contribute right away. After all, the biggest concern with the Libs is their current 3-10 record.
