Florida Gulf Coast has landed Vanderbilt transfer Kady Schrann; she will spend her last year with the Eagles.
Schrann, who was ranked No. 58 in the country coming out of high school, will have one year of eligibility left after sitting out the upcoming 2014-15 season. She started 18 games for the Commodores and averaged 4.1 points per game.
"I decided to transfer from Vanderbilt to FGCU because I was not content with my role on the team and being happy was a priority to me," said Schrann. "FGCU stuck out to me because I watched them play against Oklahoma State, and I was like, 'They're pretty good.' They also had my major and I was like, 'This looks like a great fit for me.'
"I am looking (forward) to a fresh start in playing in another successful system where I can continue my major and hopefully be happy."
She was also a member of the 2011-12 ALL-SEC Freshman Team.
