Sparks vs. Team China Preview: L.A. finally has its first preseason game

The Los Angeles Sparks start the Magic Johnson Era with a preseason matinee against the Chinese women's national team.

One of the slogans for the L.A. Sparks is "Lights! Magic! Sparks!" now with Magic Johnson being the face of their new ownership group. We finally get a chance to see them play Saturday with a match against the Chinese National Team.

Where and when? It will be at the Thomas G. Lakin Physical Education Center at L.A. Southwest College at 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m PT)

Who should be expected to win? Since China doesn't have any WNBA players on its roster, the Sparks should be heavily favored.

What will be the key goals here? The key goal for this game is probably going to be moreso about how well the bench players perform against an international team as opposed to the final result. For Team China of course, this match definitely a preparation game for the upcoming FIBA World Championships and it gives them a chance to play a team made up of mostly American players.

Have any more insights? And if Team China wins, what would it mean both for them and the Sparks? Please feel free to give your thoughts in the comments below!
