Video: Notre Dame completes ACC regular season undefeated

Highlights and postgame comments from Notre Dame's win at North Carolina State (via WatchND).

The story of Notre Dame's 84-60 win at North Carolina State yesterday was quite clearly the outcome, a perfect 16-0 run through the ACC for the Fighting Irish in their first season to conclude a perfect 29-0 season.

Notre Dame's Natalie Achonwa was the statistical standout, scoring a game-high 19 points on 8-for-9 shooting to go along with 6 rebounds. But a focus on her performance might also direct attention to that of N.C. State senior Kody Burke.

Achonwa scored a number of her points in transition, sprinting the floor hard to beat the defense to the basket before they get set. But in halfcourt situations, Burke played rather well defensively on Achonwa when she was guarding her despite struggling to get through a couple of Notre Dame screens and losing Achonwa on a couple of cuts. But her ability to score from inside, outside, and off the dribble remains impressive and her ability to defend the post makes her a solid "stretch four" WNBA prospect.

At 6-foot-2, Burke might not be a particularly imposing force in the paint against WNBA competition, but her skillset and versatility makes her an interesting prospect nonetheless.
