What? The mockingbird is the state bird of Tennessee. Scrappy is named for a football coach.

Where? Chattanooga, Tennessee, which claims to have the fastest Internet service in the Western Hemisphere.

When? March 10th, in Asheville, North Carolina.

Why? They won the Southern Conference tournament.

How? Thirteen Mocs saw time in a 71-45 win over Davidson, led by 22 from Alex Black.

Surprise? Predicted to finish first in the conference, they finished first and undefeated in conference, six games ahead of Furman.

Good wins: Alabama. Maybe?

Bad losses: At Hawai'i.

Who's driving this thing? Jim Foster, since 2013. You may have heard of him from such places as St. Joseph's, Vanderbilt, and Ohio State.

Jim Foster's been around the block a time or two, and so have the senior stars for Chattanooga, forwards Taylor Hall (14.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists) and Ashlen DeWart (10.1 points, 5.1 rebounds). It's hard to say the Mocs have really been challenged in their schedule, though.

Random thing that pleases me: Tatianna Jackson and how almost half her rebounds are offensive.
