#24 Rutgers Scarlet Knights (21-6) at #1 Connecticut Huskies (29-0)
4 p.m. EST
Gampel Pavilion - Storrs, CT
TV: CBS Sports Network nationally; SNY in the New York City/Connecticut markets
Before the game at 3:42 PM EST, you can watch a pregame ceremony online where UConn seniors Stefanie Dolson and Bria Hartley will be inducted into the Huskies of Honor by clicking here.
More on Dolson and Hartley
The two teams last played on January 19 at Rutgers' house, and the result was a 94-64 Husky blowout. I don't expect the outcome of this game to be much different given that this game is in the friendly confines of Storrs, Connecticut, and that there will likely be some added motivation for the Huskies to win for their seniors today, both of whom should be first round picks in the WNBA Draft this spring.
This is also the last conference matchup between these two perennially ranked teams, and both have produced multiple WNBA players over the years as well. Rutgers will be joining the Big Ten Conference next year, along with Maryland which is currently in the ACC. So it is a shame that we won't be seeing this matchup annually, at least later in the college basketball season.
Update at 2:20 PM ET
Not game-related, but I'd like to pass this along.
