The promotions don't stop there. Yesterday, the Cal men's basketball team defeated the #1 ranked Arizona Wildcats, 60-58. People who went to yesterday's big win also get a $1 ticket to today's contest with their ticket stub. And today's kid's day, so all kids have free admission!
Cal played Stanford just last Thursday, January 30

If you're wondering why people get $1 admission for wearing Marshawn Lynch jerseys besides the fact that he is playing in the Super Bowl tonight, Lynch went to Cal where he ran for 3,230 yards in three seasons (2004-2006) for the Bears. And this past season, Lynch ran for 1,257 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 36 passes for 316 yards and another two receiving touchdowns.
There are more Cal alums on the Seattle Seahawks, as starting defensive tackle Brandon Mebane also played for Cal where he recorded 45 tackles in the 2013 NFL regular season. And on the Denver Broncos, backup running back C.J. Anderson is also a Cal alum.
Stanford will also have good representation on both the Seahawks and Broncos on their rosters. For Seattle, cornerback Richard Sherman, who had 48 tackles and 8 interceptions for 2013 is a Stanford alum. So is wide receiver Doug Baldwin, who had 50 receptions for 778 yards. And Sherman earned some attention for his post game celebration/rant after Seattle won the NFC championship a couple weeks ago. For Denver, Sione Fua is a backup defensive tackle for the team.
That's all I have to add with Cal and Stanford, $1 tickets for fans who wear Marshawn Lynch jerseys, and more on the Super Bowl. Feel free to talk more in the comments below!
