Score: 6-4 FDU (16:25 remaining)

The game began with a deliberate pace with both teams zoning. Manhattan shows quicker ball movement allowing good looks. Several which find the bottom of the net. FDU, on the other hand, struggles to get a respectable shot selection against the Manhattan zone.

A saving grace for the visiting Lady night is Erika Livermore. An all Northeast Conference pick two years ago, the FDU junior center missed all of last year with a knee injury. During the NEC media day Livermore said her off season rehabilitation went well and her knee responded well.

Livermore has been the difference the first half. FDU trailed at he break 27-24. Without Livermore's 16 points10 rebounds, FdU could be looking a a double digit deficit as the struggled offensively against the Lady Japer zone.
