The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Dallas Mavericks 101-100, where they shot 52.9% from the field, and also made 14-of-28 of their three point attempts. The Spurs' Big Three of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili, as expected, had good games, though they also committed 11 of San Antonio's 21 turnovers. Monta Ellis led Dallas' scorers with 26 points in the losing effort. The game was also significant since Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon now has a game under her belt as the first full-time female NBA assistant coach in league history. And I have a round-up of some notable tweets below on the game, and with Hammon:

Got goosebumps seeing @BeckyHammon on the bench. Then it felt normal very quickly. What progress feels like.

So rad seeing Becky Hammon on the #Spurs' bench. Eventually I'll get used to it but for now it's an instant surge of AWESOME when I see it!
