The Czech domestic league, the ZBL, started with a full state of games. Waltheia Rolle had a 22 point game in Nymburk's 81-72 win over Valosun Brno. Jenna Smith scored 19 points in IMOS Brno's win over Kara Trutnov.
They're doing something interesting in the ZBL this season. Since USK Praha has six players from the Czech National Team and the Czech's want to qualify for Eurobasket, lovewomensbasketball.com reports that USK Praha will not have to play any of its home matches this season. They will only be playing their away games.
France
Wednesday marked the end of the second round of games in France. Celine Dumerc and Maggie Lucas clashed for their respective teams as Arras lost to Bourges on the road 79-71. Lucas had 23 points/4 steals in the losing effort; Dumerc had 11 points and 5 assists for Bourges.
