Minnesota Lynx advance to the WNBA Finals by beating the Phoenix Mercury, 72-65

After getting blown out in Game 1 of the 2013 Western Conference Finals, it stood to reason that the Phoenix Mercury had to perform better at home in Game 2.

Yet better wasn't enough to beat the talented Minnesota Lynx despite a considerable rebounding advantage.

Led by a playoff career-high 27 points from Maya Moore, the Lynx completed a two-game sweep of the Mercury with a 72-65 win in Phoenix.

Uncharacteristically poor shooting from both teams ultimately shaped Game 2: although the Mercury managed to hang around due to 15-for-27 free throw shooting by the Lynx, the Mercury never found their touch from 3-point range in either game while shooting nearly 20 per game.
