I had the opportunity to find out about Atlanta’s health going into the Eastern Conference Finals:
Dream center Sancho Lyttle is no longer wearing her boot on her broken left foot, and is able to put weight on the foot. She is able to take free throws but is not participating in anything in practice that might involve body contact.
Forward Le’coe Willingham has a right knee injury suffered in Game 1 against Washington. She has no swelling of the knee but has pain. Her future prognosis is unknown.
Armintie Herrington has been playing through a left shoulder injury, and does not have complete range of motion in her shoulder. She suffered a concussion after a collision with Elena Delle Donne in a game against Chicago and the left shoulder injury came a week later.
This has obviously limited Atlanta’s ability for 5-on-5 drills. The Dream is compensating with walkthrough drills and film review.
