1. Chicago Sky (24-9) at Minnesota Lynx (25-8), 8:00 PM ET
You can watch this on old media through NBA TV.
These two teams could be in the Finals in a month or so. But they also have nothing to gain tonight with their seeding decided. Could be a bad game to watch.
H/T to Simitar for noting that the Sky would have the tiebreaker over the Lynx if it wins tonight. So perhaps there is some incentive to win this game from both sides, but I at least don't think it's as big of a deal.
2. Tulsa Shock (11-22) at Seattle Storm (16-17), 10:00 PM ET
The Shock would like to finish the year with a record where the black and gold doesn't lose twice as much as it wins. The Storm wants to surpass last season's record with Sue Bird.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Canelo Alvarez fight
This is the sporting event of the day even with Texas A&M vs. Alabama, in my opinion. You can watch it on Showtime Pay Per View and follow this StoryStream from Bad Left Hook, our SB Nation boxing blog. Mayweather puts his undefeated professional record on the line tonight with this fight. If I had to guess the approximate time for this match which comes after several undercard matches, it will happen at roughly 12:00 AM ET on Sunday, September 15.
The Crow Song of the Day...
...because I was sooo wrong on Seattle, and the Green and Gold just matched its 2012 record by defeating a team that had three previous wins in the season as well. To help chow down my crow, here is Sheryl Crow's latest hit, "Easy." I didn't know that she is now over 50!
That's all I have, except for some more game fowl to eat as well as with friends as we get ready to watch some boxing. Enjoy the games tonight!
