Open Thread: Friday Tripleheader starting at 7:00 PM ET

We have three games going on tonight, so let's get to them. Two of these games are in the West Coast which is prime time for you, late night for me. Watch on LiveAccess, if it's working that is.

USA TODAY Sports

1. Chicago Sky (13-7) at Connecticut Sun (6-13), 7:00 PM ET

The Sun tries to go to 3-1 in the post-All-Star break period where they have to beat the best team in the East right now. And it's definitely possible.

2. Tulsa Shock (7-15) at Phoenix Mercury (10-11), 10:00 PM ET

It's on NBA TV and will be the Game of the Night, mostly because of the Drama surrounding Phoenix.

So, the Russ Pennell era begins tonight. And he has no WNBA experience. If he can control Diana Taurasi's emotions, then he's doing a better job than his predecessor. As for Tulsa, this could be a game where no matter what they do, they'll get blown out. The reason why would be because the Mercury would play out of emotion tonight. So don't be surprised to see the Mercury win big for that reason alone.

3. San Antonio Silver Stars (7-14) at Seattle Storm (9-11), 10:00 PM ET

The Storm could be third place in the West tonight if the Mercury loses and they win. As for the Stars, development is key and their priority.

Random things:

Yesterday, I mentioned that Beyoncé changed her hairdo. It only makes sense to see how the league's resident fanatic feels about it:

So I guess she WON'T be donning a pixie any time soon.

The Random SB Nation Song of the Day

The Mystics had their biggest accomplishment of the year so far by sweeping the best WNBA team. Here's a pic from their twitter account:

I also hear that this Cee Lo Green song was played and sang to all the haters like me (yeah, there's language, but the lyrics are definitely fitting):

Yeah, kidding aside, it was definitely a great victory indeed. I still am impressed. But the team still has to show consistency rest of the season.

That's all I have. Enjoy the games tonight everyone.
