Washington Mystics sign Quanitra Hollingsworth, waive Jessica Moore who joins basketball operations staff

The Washington Mystics have signed Quanitra Hollingsworth, a 6'5" center who was acquired in a draft day deal with the New York Liberty. The team subsequently waived Jessica Moore who was no more than the 11th man on the team all year and she only played two games. But there's more.

In most cases when a player gets cut in the WNBA, she just goes about her way. However, Moore is staying with the Mystics by joining the basketball operations staff as an assistant, so in many ways, she's like a 12th player of sorts which will be helpful in practice and I think this is a great move by Coach Thibault by keeping her here.

This move to me is a mere formality which I expected. However with Hollingsworth now in DC, she's likely not an 11th man. Does that mean that Emma Meesseman is now the unlucky one because she's a post too? Or is it Nadirah McKenith who has earned two DNP's in her career and hasn't played much to begin with? We'll see as July plays out.
