All-Star Voting is still going on
And please go ahead and vote on the league's website. If you want to know who I would vote for, click here on last Thursday's open thread for an 11 man roster.
1. San Antonio Silver Stars (4-9) at Connecticut Sun (3-9), 5:00 PM ET
This game at least on paper will be the one "not to see" but for the Stars. they do have a budding star in Danielle Robinson and there's no pun intended. For the Sun, Kara Lawson has now returned from injury so that should make things easier for Tina Charles. Even then, the bottom line is that this match is between two the WNBA's bottom tier teams from solely a win and loss perspective.
2. Los Angeles Sparks (9-4) at Phoenix Mercury (8-6), 6:00 PM ET
Watch this on TWC Sportsnet in the LA area and Fox Sports Arizona Plus if you're in the Phoenix area.
On paper, this will be the game of the day as two of the Western Conference's "Big Three" teams will be battling. The Sparks finally got their first road win this season, albeit against a bad Shock team. The Mercury has lost two in a row, and their last was at home against the Silver Stars.
3. Atlanta Dream (10-2) at Seattle Storm (5-8), 9:00 PM ET
Watch this on LiveWell if you're in the Seattle area.
The Dream last played five days ago and got beaten pretty badly by the Lynx. This game will be easier on paper, but KeyArena could be a bit more rowdy than usual because the team signed center Ashley Robinson last Friday, who is a fan-favorite and was a member of their 2010 championship team. Last year, she played in DC, and I think we both are both mutual in the fact that we want to forget that that season happened.
I still say Atlanta has the edge on paper, but if they come out rusty tonight, the Storm can win this game too.
So there you have it, three games to finish off the weekend. Enjoy the games, and keep voting for your All-Stars!
