Open Thread: Two matinee games starting at 12:30 PM ET

If there's something in the WNBA that angers me almost as much as 11 man rosters, it's matinee games during the work week. I love kids and I loved being a kid. I just hate that these games don't allow many if not most season ticket holders to attend it without altering their schedules. There are two such games and you can stream them on LiveAccess.

USA TODAY Sports

1. Washington Mystics (6-6) at Chicago Sky (8-4), 12:30 PM ET

Zack laid out his preview here. The Mystics are on a two game road trip that starts in the Windy City, then out to San Antonio for a home and home deal, as they play the Stars in San Antonio on Friday, but then host them in DC next Tuesday. Like the Mystics and with Ivory Latta, the Stars have their own rapidly rising star guard Danielle Robinson, who deserves an All Star bid as a coaches' reserve.

2. San Antonio Silver Stars (3-8) at Phoenix Mercury (8-5), 3:30 PM ET

And speaking about Robinson, you can watch her on Fox Sports Arizona on TV if you're in the Phoenix area.

After getting run out of Minneapolis, the Mercury has a two game home stand starting today. The Stars' top two players have torn ACL's which is an unfortunate coincidence, but the "good news" is that this team has played all but one game without Becky Hammon, meaning that they're used to playing without her. The Mercury still should be favored to win this game however.

And the Stars have a Get Well Soon card for Hammon which you can sign here.

The Random SB Nation Song of the Day

Staying with the '90's here as I play Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise."

So that's all I have for today. Enjoy today's games if you're able to watch them.
