Open Thread: Two games starting at 7:00 PM ET

Two games in the evening, at least if you're on the East Coast, and they both feature inter-conference matches.

If Nneka Ogwumike was having trouble getting a shot off against Emma Meesseman, just imagine what Elena Dolle Donne could do against her... Ok, ok, I just looked for an excuse to put Meesseman on the cover.

USA TODAY Sports

1. Phoenix Mercury (6-4) at Connecticut Sun (2-6), 7:00 PM

If you're in Connecticut, watch CPTV Sports to see it on TV.

The Mercury has now won three straight to be well over .500 but the Sun has also lost three in a row so far and would like to win tonight considering that DC, the team in 4th right now has the current longest losing streak in the league. I will give more thoughts on the Mystics sometime next week, but the 4th through 6th spots in the East are definitely up for grabs.

2. Los Angeles Sparks (5-3) at Chicago Sky (6-3), 8:00 PM

Tune to the U Too on TV if you're in Chicago.

The Sky looks to get to 5-0 at home while the Sparks try to get their first win on the road. Fortunately for them, they can wipe the taste of last night's 88-64 annihilation pretty quickly by playing tonight.

The Random SB Nation Song of the Day

It's Saturday, which is a party night! So I'm playing Pink's "Get The Party Started":

Enjoy tonight's games everyone!
