The news just keeps getting better and better for the Toledo Lady Rockets.
Former Michigan starting point guard Brenae Harris has found her new home -- and it won’t be too far from the city she grew up in. Harris has decided to transfer to Toledo, and informed head coach Tricia Cullop of her decision yesterday.
The very explosive 5-foot-10 guard from Marion Harding in Marion, Ohio will bring not only size, but also a tremendous amount of versatility to Toledo’s back court.
“The four days leading up to yesterday, it’s been in my heart,” said a very excited Harris in speaking with Swish Appeal. “I just had been thinking about (Toledo) nonstop. I tried to think about other schools like that, and I just couldn’t see myself [at those places].
“Since I’ve made the decision, I couldn’t be happier. I felt an instant connection with them.”
Harris also considered Ball State and Xavier.
