Los Angeles Sparks sign Briana Gilbreath to a training camp contract

Yesterday, the Los Angeles Sparks announced that guard Briana Gilbreath was signed to a training camp contract for the 2013 season.

Gilbreath was the 35th pick of the 2012 WNBA Draft to the Washington Mystics, but never played for them. She played 11 games including 2 starts for the Phoenix Mercury where she averaged 7 points and 3.6 rebounds a game all toward the end of the 2012 season. Should she make the 2013 Sparks roster, Gilbreath would provide bench support at the guard position behind Kristi Toliver, Alana Beard, and recently signed guard Lindsey Harding.
