Highlights: Kentucky beats Vanderbilt, moves on to SEC tournament semifinals

Highlights from the Kentucky Wildcats' 76-65 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores in 2013 SEC women's basketball tournament quarterfinals.

Greg Alan Edwards of SB Nation's A Sea of Blue summarized Kentucky's win over Vanderbilt yesterday, with a bit of focus on coach Matthew Mitchell's substitution patterns.

Kentucky was a little flat, but that was mostly due to Matthew Mitchells substitution patters. Everyone played. Everyone scored. Everyone participated. That will not happen every game. It mattered not, however, because UK kept it's double digit lead for most of the game...That is two games straight that Mitchell has used a lot of substitutions to keep player fatigue at a minimum. Smart coaching for a planned deep run into the post season.

The Wildcats are probably hoping that the rest pays off as they move on to today's semifinal against the Georgia Bulldogs, who put a damper on LSU's momentum in a convincing 71-53 win.
